Some 75 guests joined the SEAD Gallery team and the Brazos Valley Arts Council Thursday, November 29th, for the opening of Downtown Bryan’s newest art gallery. The opening celebrated our inaugural exhibition with a solo show by area artist Anguspaul. Aptly named, “Colorpalooza” delivered on the promise of its title with vibrant art at every turn.
Jose Quintana, Advent GX President, welcomed guests with a short speech celebrating our artist and partners. He also debuted the alpha version of ArtInteractive, our iPad app that recognizes artwork and provides artists commentary for each piece. Guests were also invited to scan a QR code to gain access to audio only commentary on each piece in the exhibit.
SEAD Gallery is community economic development project by Advent GX, a local company that provides economic and tourism development services to communities throughout Texas and North America. The Gallery is curated by Arts Council of Brazos Valley and open to visitors Tuesday through Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm or by appointment.
SEAD Gallery is also available for private events. Enjoy a few pictures from the event below and visit our event photo album on Facebook for even more pictures to share.
