“What You Seek” is the final piece in the Push Play series and one of two pieces that features a face. It was the exhale of Jennifer’s creative push through the series. Unlike most of Jennifer’s paintings, “What You Seek” is composed mainly of cool colors. The blues, purples, greens, white, black and hints gold all speak a sense of self-reflection. The dripping white paint draws the eye downward and a split is created at the bottom by the use of black paint and a white line. It is the only painting in the exhibition that includes words; what, is seeking you, you, seek, and you. The placement of the words allow for a variation of how to read them, creating a viewer-artist connection. The largest image draws attention to the center; a face, with somber eyes and relaxed lips. It is the viewer’s freedom to decide what the face is seeking as well as what the viewer seeks from the painting.
