SEAD Gallery is proud to announce the solo exhibition of Finnish artist Inari Krohn in Historic Downtown Bryan from May 21 – July 16, 2016. Krohn’s exhibit, “Metsän Tarina – The Tale of the Forest,” opens Saturday evening May 21st with a reception welcoming Krohn to Bryan. The public is invited to the reception from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
Krohn graduated from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts after studying abroad at L’ecole des Beaux-Arts, one of the most influential art institutions in France. She has since developed a deep passion for printmaking and graphic design and has regular exhibitions in respected galleries and museums, both in her home country of Finland and all over the world.
“We are honored to host Inari’s exhibit at SEAD Gallery and look forward to learning a bit about her homeland through this body of work,” says Gallery Director Joan Quintana. “It is a mesmerizing collection of visual poetry that I find both quiet and profound.”
The key to Krohn’s passion is the transformation of observation. Krohn enjoys painting classical nature themes. Through her art, she wants to “tell about nature and about people as a part of it, about the variety of forms and the wealth around us.”
SEAD Gallery is located in the Federal Building at 216 W. 26th Street in Historic Downtown Bryan, Texas.
