Last Thursday, the SEAD Gallery’s latest exhibit, “Palate,” opened in the gallery. The exhibit showcases the vibrant work of Texas artist Kristine Kainer in her first solo show.
Guests from all over town came to welcome her work to the gallery. As they mingled, they also had the opportunity to chat with Kainer about her work and inspirations. Kainer happily answered questions, saying she was just charmed to see her work on the walls.
“Palate” represents my affinity for food,” Kainer said. “Even though food is an essential element for survival, “Palate” attempts to remind us that food is also a cultural and social element that can enhance our lives. Eat, drink, and be merry!”
We had a lovely evening enjoying art and gathering with friends. Make sure to experience “Palate” yourself. The show runs through September 10.
