The room was buzzing with conversations about books and personal anecdotes on the opening night of the SEAD Library and Bookshop in Downtown Bryan. The library is located in the Federal Building, a historic gem that we have turned into a cozy spot for reading and relaxation. Four large windows frame the room, adding the perfect amount of natural light for reading a good book. It’s a special place that feels much like home. At the opening, we loved watching our customers lounge on the couches, drink wine, and enjoy each other’s company, making our living room their own.
Books of all types fill the large shelves, from “The Pictorial History of Sherlock Holmes” to “Stuart Little”; you are bound to find a book you will enjoy! One of our guests found a love letter dated from 1936 wedged between the pages of a tender novel titled, “The Things She Wrote To Him”. It’s remarkable how these books have their own unique stories about where they’ve been, and how they got there.
The SEAD Library and Bookshop is the perfect place to unwind this summer. It’s a great spot to come and relax after a morning rush or to meet someone for an afternoon meeting. We also have tables where you can work on homework, convene for a lunch meeting, or take a break with a good book. We look forward to meeting you and hearing your stories!
