Join the talented John Krajicek in the mystery that is abstract art.
John has always surrounded himself with creativity; however, it was not until recently that he began producing his own pieces of visual art. After meeting some local artists in the Bryan/College Station area John became fascinated with the art community here and began to take up painting. John’s preferred medium is acrylic. Through this medium, he creates pieces of abstract expressionism. He gathers his inspiration from visual artists like Gerhard Richter, Joan Mitchell, Jackson Pollock and many artists alike. He enjoys the mystery behind an abstract painting. As a young boy visiting art galleries John recalls, “it was always some abstract work I saw there that most fascinated me.” He hopes the mystery of his own pieces can stay with the viewer well after they leave the gallery.
Currently, John is an Executive Professor in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Along with this amazing accomplishment he also expresses his creativity through writing. He has dabbled in many arts but now dedicates his time not only to acrylic painting but also to songwriting. John is able to express his musical talents as the lead singer and main songwriter for the bands Leavenworth, Alone Stars, and Borderline Social Club.
We here at SEAD Gallery are honored to be hosting John Krajicek in our multi-artist exhibit alongside artists Cameron Sands and Dawn Winters.
